Everything Your Heart Desires Is On The Other Side Of Your Fear

So here we are… the start of a brand new week, ripe with possibility.

As we start this week I want to ask you a question: what are you doing to move closer to your dream?

Henry David Thoreau said most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with their song still in them. They're not doing the thing that would really light them up. They feel dead inside.

Most people, even though they have this burning desire to do something, never even take the first step to pursue their dreams. Why? Because of fear.

Everything your heart desires most is on the other side of your fear.

You can have what you want, but there is a cost. The price you have to pay is confronting your fear.

Average people aren't willing to experience that discomfort. They let the “what ifs” get the better of them. They retreat and have to reconcile themselves to a life devoid of those things that would really make their souls come alive.

Now, I truly believe that if you've been guided to read this blog, you are not average; that you've got something beautiful and unique to contribute to the world. People who live extraordinary lives have the courage to pursue their dreams.

Courage is not the absence of fear; it's acting in the presence of it. How do you act in the presence of fear?

You ask yourself this one simple question: is it worth it?

Is it worth enduring those few short moments of discomfort for a lifetime of bliss and purpose and contribution?

Is it worth feeling, being with, and ultimately overcoming your fear to create a life that you love, that feeds your soul.

In any given moment, you either choose fear or you choose love.

Which one will you choose this week?
